Fall Look Book #1

Thursday, September 29, 2016

Well, it's officially Fall and October is just days away. This time of year is my absolute favorite when it comes to fashion. The early days of Autumn can be kind of tricky to style because although it's no longer summer, the cold hasn't quite set in yet. Fall is a time for new beginnings and first impressions. New jobs, new friends, back to school..... I've created a look book of four different ways to transition into the A/W season.

Merlot Madness

This first look is super simple and perfect for those days where the sun is out but you still want to get those Fall vibes. I paired a burgundy button down skirt with these boots that just so happened to be the perfect color match. Ankle boots are my weakness- no lie, I have over 50 pairs. I love textures, glitter, and crazy colors; and these ones have a chic lace up cut out on the side which caught my eye instantly. I got this sweater last year from ASOS and hadn't worn it prior to this, but the lightweight, spring crop and high neckline were the perfect way to reintroduce knits into my wardrobe even if its not quite "sweater weather" yet.

I definitely think every person should own a few good hats. They are a staple when it comes to finalizing a look without over accessorizing, and this merlot one brought the whole piece together. I have this rule: if all else fails, match your shoes with your hat.

Sweater: ASOS
Skirt: H&M
Shoes: ASOS

Liquid Leather

This next look is sort of an ode to my love for Zara considering the two statement pieces are from there. I've been eyeing these brogues for months now and finally decided to get them last week (because in the wise words of Tom Haverford: "TREAT. YO. SELF!!!"). As soon as I saw the  jacket, I just had to have it. Plus, I was already buying the shoes and the metallic leather was a match made in heaven. Since both pieces are pretty eye catching, I wore all black to tone it down. I paired my favorite ripped jeans with a basic black tee and tied it in with a thin black belt adorned with silver stars.

The Goth Friend

This is such an everyday look for me. Between beauty school and working in different salons, my wardrobe is 97% black. One of my favorite things to do is pair a black on black outfit with a pop of color, and for me thats usually the shoes. These purple velvet babies are so beautiful it's not even funny. Velour is one of the top trends for this season, and the purple color is so witchy and fun. I paired them with leather pants because apart from wearing all black, I also love mixing textures. I'm wearing an oversized sheer mesh top with a black lace bralette underneath, and finished the look with an overload of jewelry.

How many layering necklaces are too many? The answer is never enough.

Bralette: Boohoo

Study in Style

For the final outfit in my first Fall look book, I decided to keep it casual and cozy. This one's for you guys going back to school, cramming in the library, wanting to be cute yet comfortable in a long lecture, or whatever else it may be. I paired an oversized cream sweater with my absolute favorite One Teaspoon boyfriend jeans. I got these boots from ASOS and I am so loving the chestnut color and funky heel. Nothing really says Fall like purchasing a new pair of brown boots.

Denim: One Teaspoon
Shoes: ASOS
Rings: Nordstrom
Purse: Kate Spade

Fall is my favorite time of year and I can't wait to do more looks for you guys as the season progresses. Like always, details are listed. If you recreate any of these, let me know!
