Lounging in the Nude// Casual Wear Spring Look Book

Thursday, March 23, 2017

Helloooo everybody!! Spring has finally sprung; hope you're all doing well! I am currently sitting outside- yes, OUTSIDE!!!- with an iced coffee while on a break at work. My spring is going well so far. You all know how I love my iced soy lattes so praise Jesus that it's finally cold drink weather. I also might have gone a little crazy the other day and bought SIX pairs of sunglasses... iced lattes and sunglasses?! What is this crazy life? Seattle is still hitting us with the rain and cold, but the rare sunny days are slowly making their appearances; and I don't know about you, but my wardrobe is ready to lighten up. March through May are those awkward transitional months where you never know how the weather will be or how to dress for it. Well lucky you, I'm here to help with five looks to tide you over. AND they are all loungewear inspired (aka glorified pajamas). So stay warm, stay comfy, and look good doing it while we wait for Summer to pull us in.

#1: The first look is my absolute favorite go to for lazy days. You honestly cannot go wrong with a sweater and ripped jeans- this is a promise. This sweater is from Missguided and I am obsessed. It is so comfy and the perfect neutral color to go with just about anything. This is the epitome of a lazy day look as I 100% swear to you I slept with my hair like this.... lol. Talk about bed head. Soz for the frizz. The flats are also from Missguided, but the ruffles and platform give you that extra oomph so you don't look totally homeless. Throw on some sunglasses to hide your tiredness (from Quay, of course) and your favorite bag to finish it off.

Denim: H&M
Shoes: Missguided
Sunglasses: Quay Australia

#2: Keeping up with the atrocious bed head, this look is perfect for when you want to be casual but still decent enough to grab brunch with the girls. Cropped hoodies are my current must have. I believe everyone needs to own one. The crop helps dress up that fact that it's, well... a hoodie. This particular one I'm wearing is from Missguided and the flair sleeves are what really drew me in. I am a huge sucker for bell and flared anything! Pair with leather pants, and dress it up or down with the shoes. In this case, I went for more casual with my Stans and sunglasses. Sweatshirts are also ridiculously easy to dress up! If you want to go a little more glam, pair with some heels, lipstick, and a rhinestone choker. Sporty Spice is that you??

Bottoms: Peppermayo
Shoes: Adidas
Sunglasses: Quay Australia

#3: When the April Showers hit in March, layers are your best friend. Grab your favorite sweater or crewneck and pair with a long tee underneath. Throw a leather jacket over it all for that added finesse. I love layers because you don't know if I have a hot bod underneath or if I'm hiding all the Girl Scout cookies I consumed this month. Definitely the latter in my case. The same flats from Missguided matched perfectly which I was SO excited about because I just think they're so cute! Ripped jeans again for the casual vibes and you're good to go.

 Top: Calvin Klein
Jacket: Zara
Denim: H&M
Shoes: Missguided
Sunglasses: Quay Australia
Purse: Chanel

#4: Dressing it up just a teeny tiny bit, I threw on some heels for this look. I got this sweater from Sabo Skirt, which I am beyond in love with btw- check them out. The cut out is perfect for warmer days but also practical since it's still a sweater. This will be a summer night's staple for sure! Belts are something I have been loving lately and this shows it off nicely without trying too hard. Paired with some black denim and patent boots, you really can't of wrong.

Denim: Topshop
Belt: Boohoo
Shoes: Zara

#5: And last but not least, I leave you with the ultimate lounge outfit. Very rarely will you see me out and about in joggers but since we're doing loungewear I figured I had to include them in at least one look. Some of you may know, I started a clothing company with my twin sister. If you don't, its called The Wild Daze and this tee is from it! Is it socially acceptable to wear your own line out in public??? Let me know- asking for a friend. I like how the joggers have that lace up detailing at the bottom and they are extremely comfortable so I'll give you that. Tee, joggers, flats. As lazy as you can truly get.

Bottoms: Missguided
Flats: Chanel

Well there you go my beautiful people. Five looks to keep you lounging in the nude (ha) all Spring long. Sending love until next time
